Kenya’s Raila Odinga is facing off with Mahmoud Ali Youssouf of Djibouti and Madagascar’s Richard Randriamandrato.
Candidates are outlining how they would transform Africa should they win the February 2025 elections and succeed incumbent Moussa Faki of Chad.
The debate, also known as Africa Leadership Debate, is being conducted in French and English, with simultaneous interpretation provided to the candidates and the audience in all the six working languages of the African Union – English, French, Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swahili.
