The launch mounts the official campaigns for Raila Odinga ahead of February 2025 elections to replace the outgoing chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat.
The EA leaders converged in Nairobi to witness the launching, the leaders were, EAC chairperson and south Sudan president Salvakir Mayardit,Tanzanian president Samia Suluhu Hassan and Yoweri Kaguta Museveni ugandan president who graced the event.
Rwanda’s State minister for foreign Affairs Kabarebe,Burundi’s Prime minister Gervais Ndirakobuca and former Tanzanian president Jakaya kikwete were also present.

Raila is facing competition from Anil Gayan from Mauritius, Mahmoud Youssouf Minister of Foreign Affairs Djibouti and Richard Randriamandrato of Madagascar.
